It is the commentary on Vedanta sutra by Vedavy\u0101sa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Srimad Bhagavatam speaks highest truth&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In the beginning of \u015ar\u012bmad-Bh\u0101gavatam, Vedavy\u0101sa rejects all religious rituals which is for material gain, and he directly propagates pure devotion for the Supreme Lord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cCompletely rejecting all religious activities which are materially motivated, this Bh\u0101gavata Pur\u0101\u1e47a propounds the highest truth, which <strong>is understandable by those devotees who are fully pure in heart.<\/strong> The highest truth is reality distinguished from illusion for the welfare of all. Such truth uproots the threefold miseries. <strong>This beautiful Bh\u0101gavatam, compiled by the great sage Vy\u0101sadeva [in his maturity], is sufficient in itself for God realization.<\/strong> What is the need of any other scripture? As soon as one attentively and submissively hears the message of Bh\u0101gavatam, by this culture of knowledge the Supreme Lord is established within his heart.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/sb\/1\/1\/2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">\u015ar\u012bmad-Bh\u0101gavatam 1.1.2<\/mark><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u015ar\u012b Caitanya-carit\u0101m\u1e5bta begins where \u015ar\u012bmad-Bh\u0101gavatam ends.<\/strong> In \u015ar\u012b Caitanya-carit\u0101m\u1e5bta, we get to know how to consistently perform pure devotion to Krishna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Devotees\u2019 eagerness to know the pastimes of Lord Chaitanya after he took sannyas<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>500 years back devotees in Vrindavan requested K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47ad\u0101sa Kavir\u0101ja Gosv\u0101m\u012b to write \u015ar\u012b Caitanya-carit\u0101m\u1e5bta. <strong>They wanted him to describe the life of Lord Chaitanya, his teachings, philosophy, activities and pastimes elaborately.<\/strong>&nbsp; When this was requested from K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47ad\u0101sa Kavir\u0101ja Gosv\u0101m\u012b, he was very old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Srila Vrindavana Dasa Thakur had already written Chaitanya Bhagavata, a biography of Lord Chaitanya.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chaitanya Bhagavata <strong>was originally known as Chaitanya Mangala but later the book was renamed as Chaitanya Bhagavata<\/strong> by Srila Vrindavana Dasa Thakur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Srila Prabhupada explained the reason behind this, \u201c\u015ar\u012b V\u1e5bnd\u0101vana d\u0101sa \u1e6ch\u0101kura\u2019s \u015ar\u012b Caitanya-bh\u0101gavata was originally entitled \u015ar\u012b Caitanya-ma\u1e45gala, but <strong>when \u015ar\u012bla Locana d\u0101sa \u1e6ch\u0101kura later wrote another book named \u015ar\u012b Caitanya-ma\u1e45gala, \u015ar\u012bla V\u1e5bnd\u0101vana d\u0101sa \u1e6ch\u0101kura changed the name of his own book<\/strong>, which is now therefore known as \u015ar\u012b Caitanya-bh\u0101gavata.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/cc\/adi\/8\/33\/\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">\u015ar\u012b Caitanya-carit\u0101m\u1e5bta, \u0100di-l\u012bl\u0101, 8.33 Purpor<\/mark><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/cc\/adi\/8\/33\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">t<\/mark><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chaitanya Bhagavata was highly revered. But <strong>fearing that the book will become voluminous, Srila Vrindavana Das Thakur did not describe much the latter life of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu especially his life after he took sannyas.<\/strong> In Chaitanya Bhagavata, the pastimes of Lord Chaitanya in Jagannath Puri, his Vrindavan and South India Yatra was just summarised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, the request was made to K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47ad\u0101sa Kavir\u0101ja Gosv\u0101m\u012b to write <strong>a book which describes the pastimes of Lord Chaitanya which was not in detail in Chaitanya Bhagavata.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At that time K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47ad\u0101sa Kavir\u0101ja Gosv\u0101m\u012b was living in Vrindavan Dham. Out of humility, he considered himself unqualified to describe the pastimes of Lord Chaitanya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47ad\u0101sa Kavir\u0101ja Gosv\u0101m\u012b says about describing the pastimes of Lord Chaitanya?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47ad\u0101sa Kavir\u0101ja Gosv\u0101m\u012b had never met Lord Chaitanya or Lord Nityananda. <strong>His only connection with Lord Nityananda was that Lord Nityananda appeared in his dream and blessed him to go to Vrindavan.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47ad\u0101sa Kavir\u0101ja Gosv\u0101m\u012b mentions about this in \u015ar\u012b Caitanya-carit\u0101m\u1e5bta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cO my dear K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47ad\u0101sa, do not be afraid. Go to V\u1e5bnd\u0101vana, for there you will attain all things. After saying this, He directed me toward V\u1e5bnd\u0101vana by waving His hand. Then He disappeared with His associates.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/cc\/adi\/5\/195\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">\u015ar\u012b Caitanya-carit\u0101m\u1e5bta, \u0100di-l\u012bl\u0101, 5.195 &#8211; 196<\/mark><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47ad\u0101sa Kavir\u0101ja Gosv\u0101m\u012b was full of humility and had completely surrendered to the Lord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He <strong>was a disciple of Srila Raghunatha Dasa Goswami.<\/strong> In Vrindavan, he would daily hear from his guru about the pastimes of Lord Chaitanya for hours. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Raghunath Dasa goswami was with Lord Chaitanya in Jagannath Puri. He was serving under Svarupa Damodara. <strong>Raghunath Dasa goswami was so humble that he hardly spoke to Lord Chaitanya directly because he thought himself to be unqualified.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He was in Jagannath Puri when Lord Chaitanya departed from this world. Soon after the departure of Lord Chaitanya, Lord Nityananda and Swarup Damodar left the world. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>After their departure Raghunath Dasa goswami came to Vrindavan.<\/strong> &nbsp;In Vrindavan, he would narrate the pastimes of Lord Chaitanya for the pleasure of all the devotees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47ad\u0101sa Kavir\u0101ja Gosv\u0101m\u012b says that <strong>Lord Ananta, with his unlimited mouths cannot describe the pastimes of Lord Chaitanya which he performed in one day.<\/strong> And even Ganesha would not be able to write the pastimes of Lord Chaitanya in millions of years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What is inconceivable to Krishna?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In this material world, everything is bound by the limitation of time and space but not in the spiritual world. In the spiritual world everything is inconceivable. Although <strong>Krishna is cause of all causes, everything comes from him but still love of Radha for him is inconceivable.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, Krishna comes to this world to experience what is inconceivable to him i.e. to experience the love of Radha which she has for him. So, <a href=\"https:\/\/minivetsystem.com\/iskcon\/why-did-lord-chaitanya-appear\/\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">h<\/mark><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/minivetsystem.com\/iskcon\/why-did-lord-chaitanya-appear\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">e<\/mark><\/a> comes in the mood of Radharani and as a devotee of Krishna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47ad\u0101sa Kavir\u0101ja Gosv\u0101m\u012b gets the permission of Madana-Mohan to write the book<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47ad\u0101sa Kavir\u0101ja Gosv\u0101m\u012b was asked to write philosophical truth about Lord Chaitanya\u2019s life. <strong>Since it was the desire of the devotees so K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47ad\u0101sa Kavir\u0101ja Gosv\u0101m\u012b thought let me try my best.<\/strong> In spiritual life success is proportional to how much we are dependent on Krishna and the mercy of the devotees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, before beginning the service of writing this book, he <strong>was going to every devotee to seek their blessings.<\/strong> He went to seek blessings of Gopala Bhatta Goswami. <strong>Gopala Bhatta Goswami said that I will give you my blessings but do not put my name in the book.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47ad\u0101sa Kavir\u0101ja Gosv\u0101m\u012b went to Madana-Mohan temple to seek the blessing of the Supreme Lord. <strong>As he was praying to the Lord the garland of Madana-Mohan fell.<\/strong> All the prominent Vaisnavas were present in the temple at that time and <strong>when they saw garland falling, they loudly chanted \u201cHaribol!.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The<strong> pujari of the temple, Gosani dasa, immediately took the garland and put it around the neck of K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47ad\u0101sa Kavir\u0101ja Gosv\u0101m\u012b.<\/strong> All the Vaisnavas said that Madana-Mohan has given the permission to write the book.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47ad\u0101sa Kavir\u0101ja Gosv\u0101m\u012b mentions about this in his book, \u201cWhen I visited the temple of Madana-mohana, the priest Gos\u0101\u00f1i d\u0101sa was serving the feet of the Lord, and I also prayed at the Lord\u2019s lotus feet. When I prayed to the Lord for permission, a garland from His neck immediately slipped down. As soon as this happened, the Vai\u1e63\u1e47avas standing there all loudly chanted, \u201cHaribol!\u201d and the priest, Gos\u0101\u00f1i d\u0101sa, brought me the garland and put it around my neck. <strong>I was greatly pleased to have the garland signifying the order of the Lord, and then and there I commenced to write this book.<\/strong>\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/cc\/adi\/8\/74\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">\u015ar\u012b Caitanya-carit\u0101m\u1e5bta, \u0100di-l\u012bl\u0101, 8.74 \u2013 77<\/mark><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What documents were used to write \u015ar\u012b Caitanya-carit\u0101m\u1e5bta?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>While writing \u015ar\u012b Caitanya-carit\u0101m\u1e5bta, K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47ad\u0101sa Kavir\u0101ja Gosv\u0101m\u012b, used the notes of Svarupa Damodar and the pastimes which he heard from Raghunath Das Goswami. <strong>Svarupa Damodar a personal associate of Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu had recorded the pastimes of Lord Chaitanya<\/strong>.&nbsp; <strong>Raghunath Dasa Goswami had memorized those notes of Svarupa Damodar.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I have heard from the mouth of Raghun\u0101tha d\u0101sa Gosv\u0101m\u012b all that Svar\u016bpa D\u0101modara Gosv\u0101m\u012b recorded in his notes about the pastimes of \u015ar\u012b Caitanya Mah\u0101prabhu. I have briefly described those pastimes. Whatever I have written is by the mercy of \u015ar\u012b Caitanya Mah\u0101prabhu, since I am an insignificant living being.&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/cc\/antya\/3\/269\/\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">\u015ar\u012b Caitanya-carit\u0101m\u1e5bta, Antya-l\u012bl\u0101, 3.269 \u2013 27<\/mark><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/cc\/antya\/3\/269\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">0<\/mark><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The prolific writer<\/strong> completes the book but does not take the credit<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47ad\u0101sa Kavir\u0101ja Gosv\u0101m\u012b,a prlific writer, is an epitome of humility. He wrote such a great literature, but he does not take any credit for it. He <strong>thanks Madana \u2013 Mohana, Lord Chaitanya, Lord Nityananda, all the associates of Lord Chaitanya and Lord Nityananda and all the Vaisnvas<\/strong> for their mercy in writing \u015ar\u012b Caitanya-carit\u0101m\u1e5bta. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not just that he<strong> even worships the readers<\/strong> who will be reading his books.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I now worship the lotus feet of all my readers, for by the mercy of their lotus feet there is all good fortune. <strong>If one hears the pastimes of Lord \u015ar\u012b Caitanya Mah\u0101prabhu as described in \u015ar\u012b Caitanya-carit\u0101m\u1e5bta, I wash his lotus feet and drink the water.<\/strong> I decorate my head with the dust of the lotus feet of my audience. Now you have all drunk this nectar, and therefore my labor is successful.
