He\nwas so absorbed in remembering Lord Rama, the Supreme Lord, and mother Sita,\nthe mother of the entire universe, that he thought he too was living in the\nforest with them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He even forgot that he had invited Lord Chaitanya to his humble home for lunch. Lord Chaitanya is none other than the Supreme Lord.&nbsp; The Lord during his pastime as Lord Krishna had rejected Duryodhana\u2019s invitation who had arranged an opulent feast. He instead went to the house of Vidura without any invitation and enjoyed eating simple preparation of spinach.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The same Lord was now at the house of the brahmana for lunch.<\/strong> But Ramdas had not cooked till now. <a>&nbsp;Mahaprabhu <\/a>was hungry, not angry. \u201cWhy haven\u2019t you cooked?\u201d asked the Supreme Lord. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe ingredients for cooking have still not arrived. <strong>Lakshman has gone inside the forest to collect vegetables, roots, fruits, and other essential items but has not returned yet.<\/strong> Once he is back, mother Sita will begin cooking.\u201d Ramdas\u2019s deep absorption in the pastime won the heart of Mahaprabhu. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Soon the brahmana realized his folly. Mahaprabhu was at his house at his invitation. It was already noon. Without further delay, he began preparation and served food to Lord Chaitanya.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chaitanya Charitrmrta Madhya, Chapter 9, <a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/cc\/madhya\/9\/185\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\"><strong>Text 185 informs, \u201cSri Caitanya Mahaprabhu took His lunch at about three o\u2019clock.\u201d<\/strong> <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But the <strong>brahmana did not eat anything<\/strong>. He\nfasted. Mahaprabhu inquired, \u201cWhy are you fasting? Why are you so unhappy?\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<strong>Thinking that mother Sita has been touched by a\nnasty person, Ravana, I am feeling utterly miserable.<\/strong> My heart is burning\nin disgust. I should have died but I am so unfortunate that I am still alive.\u201d Ramdas,\nthe brahmana, was in tears while uttering these words.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mahaprabhu was so surprised to hear the sorrowful words of the brahmana. He immediately replied, \u201cMother Sita\u2019s body is spiritual and not material. So how can any materialist even touch her? <strong>Forget about touching, a person with material vision can\u2019t even see her. Ravana did not kidnap mother Sita.<\/strong> The demon who lived in illusion kidnapped her illusory material form.\u201d&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The authoritative words of Mahaprabhu relieved him of\nthe pain and the Lord made sure Ramdasa had his lunch, although it was too\nlate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The saga of Lord Rama and mother Sita is popular all over the world, especially in India. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>But millions of people are unaware of the fact that\nRavana did not kidnap mother Sita, but he kidnapped an illusory material form\nwho looked like Sita. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But the uninformed people question if that was the case then why Lord Rama asked Sita to prove her chastity? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is true that all including the demigods headed\nby Lord Shiva and Lord Brahma were flabbergasted when they heard Lord Rama\nasking Sita to walk through the fire to prove her purity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How can it be possible that Lord Rama did not know\nthat Sita was never kidnapped? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He had crossed the gigantic ocean not to kill\nRavana but to meet Sita. How can he distrust her now? &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sitadevi was in tears. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lakshman was devastated but was helpless. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As per the order of the eldest brother he assembled\nthe woods and lit the fire. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sita circumambulated Lord Rama, the Lord of the\nuniverse, and entered the fire. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"589\" src=\"https:\/\/minivetsystem.com\/iskcon\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/serene-10-3.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1800\" srcset=\"https:\/\/minivetsystem.com\/iskcon\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/serene-10-3.png 768w, https:\/\/minivetsystem.com\/iskcon\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/serene-10-3-300x230.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 767px) 89vw, (max-width: 1000px) 54vw, (max-width: 1071px) 543px, 580px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The ocean stood still. The sky watched in\ndisbelief. All beings of the land, of the water and of the sky including the\ndemigods headed by Lord Shiva and Lord Brahma wanted to jump in that fire. Rama\nput his head down. He did not want anyone to see his tears. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Just like a piece of gold glitters more in the fire, similarly, Sita in the fire was so effulgent that her effulgence overshadowed the effulgent rays of the sun. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And from the fire appeared the god of the fire,\nAgni. He felt immensely blessed having been touched by the lotus feet of mother\nSita. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He spoke to Rama, \u201cHer mere presence purifies the\nthree worlds. How can sin even touch her? She is supremely pure.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sita wearing red robes, a garland of celestial flowers and beautiful gems walked towards Lord Rama. She was desperate to meet him. And he who was hiding his emotions could no longer contain himself. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rama declared boldly, \u201cSita is as inseparable from me as sun rays from the sun.\u201d <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was not that Lord Rama wanted any certification\nfrom anyone to know Sita is pure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But he who resides in the hearts of all knows the\nhearts of all. He knew people bereft of conscience may question Sita and bring\ntheir own downfall. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And how can he tolerate any infamy to Sita whom he loved more than his own life? He knew well that his act will be criticized for sure by the ignorants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>And he also knew that this act will ensure Sita\nattains all glories. Her virtues will be sung in all the directions for\neternity. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He knew that the atheists, the agnostics, the ignorant, the cunning\npeople who can stoop low to defame anything virtuous would also not even dare\nto question the purity of Sita. One of the\nforemost duties of the husband is to protect his wife in all situations and in\nall circumstances. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And he, the best amongst all, protected Sita, his\neternal consort, by taking all the pains and giving her all the glory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Who can better understand the heart of Rama than his father, Dasaratha? &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dasaratha, the father in law of mother Sita, who was then residing in heaven with Indra, seated on a celestial chariot came down and spoke, \u201cDo not think ill of your beloved husband. He put you in a moment of agony to declare to the entire world that you are extremely pure. For eternity your glories will be sung. Your virtue will overshadow the renown of all virtuous lady.\u201d \u00a0Reference: Ramayana -> Part Three &#8211; War &#8211; Chapter 14 &#8211; Sita&#8217;s Ordeal, <a href=\"https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/rkd\/3\/14\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">https:\/\/vedabase.io\/en\/library\/rkd\/3\/14\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And in Kaliyuga Lord Rama appeared as Lord\nChaitanya to establish this fact again that Sita was never kidnapped and her\nchastity was never tested. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lord Chaitanya after meeting <\/strong><strong>Ramadasa visited Ramesvara temple where he found\nKurma Purana.&nbsp; <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the Purana, it is mentioned that as soon as Ravana came to kidnap Sita, Sita immediately petitioned the fire \u2013 god, Agni. The fire god brought an illusory form of Sita and Ravana kidnapped the false Sita. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The original Sita went to the abode of the fire god. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And so, when Lord Ramachandra tested\nSita then it was the false Sita who entered the fire. And at that very moment,\nAgni brought the original Sita before Lord Rama.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chaitanya Mahaprabhu immediately went\nto Ramadasa, the servant of Lord Rama, to deliver the script. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ramadasa was so happy to get the\noriginal leaf manuscript of the Kurma Pura\u1e47a. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His doubts were now cleared.
