Once\nHH Radhanath Swami Maharaj was passing through the deity kitchen in the temple.\nOne lady who was doing some service in the deity kitchen saw Maharaj and she\nimmediately came out and offered him her obeisances. Maharaj said that you are\nfortunate that you have got an opportunity to cook for the deities. The lady appeared little morose and said, \u201cI\nam not directly cooking for the deities <\/strong>but I am just an assistance to\nother ladies who are cooking.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maharaj immediately said, \u201cIt means\nyou are more fortunate,\u201d and he left. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lady\nwas confused. She could not comprehend as why maharaj said so because those who directly serve the Lord are always\nconsidered more fortunate than others who are not directly serving the Lord. <\/strong> Many thoughts were coming to her mind. She thought\nmay be maharaj spoke in that way so that she does not feel inferior to others. Instead\nof speculating she decided to consult a senior devotee. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When\nthe senior devotee came to know about the entire incident, he told her that\nmaharaj has taught her one of the most important principles of Krishna consciousness.\nIn the spiritual world the highest position is of a servant and not of a\nmaster.  In the spiritual world no one wants\nto come in the limelight, but everyone wants to assist others in their service of\nKrishna.  Everyone feels extremely happy\nwhen they see other devotees getting mercy of Krishna. He explained that in the kingdom of God there is no fight for\nname and fame, power and positions. <\/strong> So you are blessed that you are assisting\nother devotees in their service to Krishna. Krishna will be so pleased with\nyou.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In\none of the lectures of Bhagavad Gita, Srila Prabhupada says, \u201cYou have to\nlearn how to become servant of the servant of K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a. The more you become in the lower position\u2014<\/strong>servant, servant,\nservant, servant, servant, hundreds times servant, servant\u2014then more you are advanced.\u201d<\/strong> Lecture on BG\n2.2 — London, August 3, 1973<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

So if we have to attain Krishna\u2019s\nlove then we should not try to become servant of Krishna but try to become\nservant of the servant of the servant of Krishna.  As\nlong as we are in material consciousness it would be difficult to even think of\nbecoming servant of any other devotee <\/strong>but if we try to study the life of great\ndevotees of Krishna we find that they all relished their devotional life by\nserving devotees. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chaitanya Mahaprabhu says, \u201cI am\nnot a brahma\u1e47a, I am not a k\u1e63hatriya, I am not a vaisya or a sudra. Nor am I a\nbrahmacari, a householder, a vanaprastha or a sannyasi.
